Because right now, it just seems like what determines somebody being applied isn't how they act in the server, it isn't their personality, it isn't their past admin experiences. it's solely how their application is worded. This is why we're stuck with inactive/abundant admins like biddyfox, iSinon and another member I'll mention down below.
Let's take Sniblet's app as a first example. Sniblet is...
1. Active 2. Straightforward when he needs to be 3. Fairly serious
The only reason Sniblet was declined is because he mentioned in the application that he was unsure if it would even be accepted.
Now let's go to GoldenCherrieCoke's application. Gold is...
1. Terribly inactive. Have you ever seen Gold in-game, and if you have, did they ever do anything other than joke around for a few minutes? 2. Very winding. 3. Not very serious at all.
Of course, they were mainly accepted because they said "admins are inactive." Which was true, and stayed true after their application was accepted, as they rarely go on.
So what needs to be changed? Applications should have a minimum acceptance date, preferably not the day they're created. Admins -/+supporting should pay attention to what they do in game more closely and judge on that by the minimum date. Ones applying for admin shouldn't half-ass at any point and stick by their word in the application, taking it as seriously as it should be taken. If they're accepted as an admin, they should be punished for contradicting their application accordingly.
Bottom line, if one is not fit for admin before they apply, they should not be admin in the first place.

See, this is kiiinda why I held off on accepting applications, but some people wanted them to be accepted faster. I do recall there being an "application status" thread that would say whether or not applications would be accepted at a current time.
Also, I've seen Gold on occasionally. She messes around but at the same time moderates. Not really the best combination to see from a player view though.

I do get on. Perhaps you aren't on when I do get on? Besides, I can't just spend my whole day watching over PPR. Very winding? Not sure what you mean by that. I'm serious when someone is breaking a rule, or when something serious is going on and doesn't need foolishness. And when I get on, people aren't really doing any of that. I also have school to deal with, and after I get out of School, I just wanna relax. Music also has School, not sure about Bid. I can mess around when I want too, and that also goes for being serious.

Yeah admin applications need a big revamp. What I really notice about it is that the popular people on the forum get admin the easiest... I think to add to your part about being judged how you act in game, you should also be judged about how active you are on the forum. Another thing to add on is that all admins should bother to either support, -support, or note that they are neutral on an application so it isn't unfair to the person applying.
Though, you didn't need to be so hostile towards everyone about this. There are some admins that aren't active and most to some of them don't take responsibility for that, but gold is actually online. Again you didn't need to be so hostile and you could've used examples instead of directly calling out people.

I'd like a big app revamp, but to be honest, I've seen gold on a lot.
But I'd like to point out.
Admins can be funny and joking when they want. It's not a crime for admins to make jokes and joke around. They shouldn't be pointed out for having fun personalities. In the end, they do their job and they do it right, so the entire point on Admins shouldn't be winding or joking should be erased completely. Admins should be able to mess around as long as they don't have harmful intent.

This isn't even needed to be put in the suggestion either.

I mean the only admin I see that never gets on is Music.
Also, that part Dai mentioned just sounds like a promotion. That was loooooong gone.

Yeah, not everyone will be or want to be on PPR 24/7. And for me, I rarely get on PPR anymore because of school. People might say that I can come home and get on PPR, but I'm a senior in high school now, I don't have time to get on a game. School is so tiring and so stressful, and it was even more stressful when I found out my dad has lung cancer and is going to die soon. I try to get on as much as I can but it might not be for a while.
At least some admins get to relax after, which I'm jealous of.

You could still explain it without mentioning people :/

I feel there's a bit of bias to this but I can see where you're coming from and the point you're making. However, that doesn't mean we shouldn't at least give someone a chance. And, as Ivy said, it does feel like you're targeting people though you did say it was just an example so I won't think about it too much.
Anyway, I do think there should be some kind of chance at least made to the admin system.

It's only an example, but it's still... you know- rude. You could make this thread without the baffling hostility toward those 3, especially since one of them is actually surprisingly active. Show me where I displayed any signs of hostility, please.

The fact you're always mentioning those 3? You're being too specific, and it's honestly baffling. Do try to remember they are humans and have feelings. I've mentioned them in the same post about twice. I don't define that as "always," but whatever floats your dirigible.
Of course I'm being specific, that's why I'm providing examples.
I don't see how anybody could be hurt over something as minor as this, but okay.
I'm not going to respond further, we don't need to go on a four page argument about this.
