Scavenged things are fun. You guys saw this coming. Do you like RPGs? Do you like great DLCs? Do you like Story? Do you like choices that ACTUALLY make a difference? Do you like open world games? Do you like Skyrim? Do you like games with good soundtracks/music? If you said yes to any of these, I strongly recommend Fallout 3, preferably the GOTY edition. Even if you don't like FPSes or shooters too much in general, chances are you may like or even love this game. It's like Skyrim with guns. And it's better. Stay away from this game if you hate.. Occasional crashes. Bugs/glitches that can turn out funny or horrible. Gore. Dated visuals, but the game was made in 2008. What do you expect? ____________________________________My rating: 11/10.

So I've been playing a lot of Mafia recently, loving it. It may just seem like a bland GTA clone, but it's not. Do you like GTA? Do you like historical fiction? Do you like great story? Do you like great gameplay along with story? Do you like the old mafia in general? Or do you just like old fashioned guns blazing in public all around? If you said yes to any of these, you may want to try this out. Stay away from this game if you dislike.. Being able to pick of magazines of a specific company. Lots and lots of driving. REALISTIC-ish driving. Dated visuals. Commuting crimes. My rating: 9/10

Fallout (1997) This one is more for the RPG buff than an FPS buff. Do you like RPGs? Do you like Story? Do you like choices that ACTUALLY make a difference? Do you like open world games? Do you like point and click-ish games? Do you like OLDER RPGs? Chances are you'd like this. It's quite different from 3 and New Vegas. If you've played those and expect something similar.. don't. This game can be VERY unforgiving, almost like a 1997 version of Dark Souls. Don't get it if you.. Don't like any of the things I asked if you liked. Rating: 10/10 It doesn't cost too much on Steam.

This game is NOT as amazing as people on Miiverse make it out to be, but it's still a great game. Do you like.. Shooters? Shooters that aren't a generic shooter at all? Shooting ink everywhere? Shooting the ground more than shooting people? Being really cheap with a stupid OP weapon? Original Nintendo games? Any game you want for a Wii U if you already have one? AMAZING Miiverse posts? This game is by no means perfect at all. Things that suck.. Extremely unbalanced matchmaking. Rollers. Servers. Bad motion controls. ACTUAL stage selection. Number of stages. (There are only two a day, what even.) Number of gamemodes. No voice chat. (They should AT LEAST add voice chat between friends.) Unskippable Squid news. Can't change your weapon without exiting the matchmaking lobby. CAN'T QUIT LOBBIES WHEN YOU'RE ALREADY IN THEM.Not being able to play on the same team as friends. Having a campaign that's actually better than the core multiplayer itself? Bad local multiplayer. This guy that's clearly a Minion wearing a hat. My rating: 7/10

Holy dang guys, this game was a freakin' adventure of me playing on my 3DS for nearly 5 days straight. I could barely put it down. This'll also be the start of my reviews being a little bit more organized. Spoiler-free! STORY: No need to play any of the other FE games at ALL, this might as well be a standalone product. Aside from in-game references to characters from past games and the ability to play as some, there's no overly complicated lore. The story isn't overzealous; it mixes enough gameplay with story/dialogue/cutscenes/etc. with just the right amount. Some of the dialogue could be improved (I mean, grunting while having text run along a box isn't very riveting or Chrom's saying of "GODS" all the time.) A nitpick of mine is that there are several "choices" throughout the game. ALMOST NONE OF THESE CHANGE ANYTHING EXCEPT MAYBE SOME MORE DIALOGUE. except for one Rating: 9/10 GAMEPLAY: WAY better than most RPGs I've ever played. Yes, that includes Pokemon. Combat in this game is very cinematic, and you can even change the camera perspective (Ex: look around with circle pad, go into first person, zoom out, etc.) and speed up the fight by holding down the A button if it's too slow. This is a tactical RPG, meaning you have to be SMART and not just go willy nilly with your "high stats" and stuff. The battles work on a grid system where your characters (Units, rather) can either move then wait, pair-up with another Unit, use an item, separate from a pair-up, attack, or just stay in one place. Your conventional weapon choices are Bronze - "Brave" Lances, Swords, Axes, and Bows. Less conventional means of combat are using Tomes (which are basically just magic spells), Dragonstones or Beaststones (Dragonstones turn the user into a DRAGON while Beaststones turn you into a mutant looking rabbit.). There's more that I don't feel like explaining, but god damn it's great. Rating: 10/10 CHARACTERS: There's a lot. Like, a lot. I used only half of the playable characters in my soon to be first playthrough. Each character actually feels different with their weapons, skills, stats, class, etc. Each character starts with a base class that you can upgrade with a specific item. Some classes are limited to a specific weapon type, like the Archer class. They're stuck with Bows unless you upgrade them to, say, a Bow Knight that can use Swords AND Bows. Onto the characters themselves; the characters' dialogues and personalities are written quite well, leading to some rather humorous situations or emotional predicaments. If that weren't enough, you can even SHIP your Units together thus getting MARRIED, and even having a child you can use as a Unit to fight alongside their parents. You yourself can even marry one of your Units if you want. Unfortunately, this FE doesn't have same-sex marriage, so none of that is touched in this game. Rating: 10/10 VISUALS: What you'd expect from a 3DS. Not the best the handheld has to offer, but the great looking pre-rendered cutscenes partially make up for it. Art style of the game is great, looks anime-ish enough to look Japanese. Rating: 9/10 Verdict: Really fun RPG that will enslave you if you're into these types of games with non-linear gameplay, good story, and characters that leave an impression. Final Rating: 9.5/10. Worth the $39.99 if you have a 3DS already.

After seeing a few joke reviews, a mediocre one, and an honestly-not-too-detailed one done, I present to you MY review of this game. Elsword is a 2.5D beat-em-up MMORPG that's got your standard stuff; guilds, couples, etc. The characters are varied in their techniques, and they can be "job changed" which really means that it changes their class, so why is it called a "job change". STORY: This is my BIGGEST problem with the game. Each character starts off with their own little "manga story" told in a manga like form. This is cool, don't get me wrong. But what ISN'T cool is that the story just drops off from there. It just didn't captivate me at all with its "lore". What is the Grand El Tree? What are Nasods? WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOORRRR?! Whatever story does somehow make it clear, it's not very good at all. The dialogue could also use some better translating, too. "I can't stand being weakling!" doesn't really have a ring to it. There IS a more in-depth Elsword manga that probably delivers a much better story, but I'm talking about the game here. Rating: 4/10 GAMEPLAY: Strongest aspect of the game. Like it's been said, this is a beat-em-up MMORPG with your Health, Mana, and Awakening Gauge. The Awakening Gauge basically powers up your character for a limited time. If you die, you can use a stone thing to revive yourself and NOT restart an entire dungeon. Most people tend to assume this is a bad game as it IS a free-to-play game. This is not the case, however. You only need to buy K-Ching if you want to marry, get OP items, get ACTUALLY GOOD costumes, and such. Multiplayer can be quite fun except for PVP. Sparring against another player is a 1v1 of "knock them over, run away, hit them with a ranged attack, wash rinse repeat unless you yourself are knocked over". Oh, and you can't damage someone when they're knocked down. Fun! Dungeons tend to revolve around "go through zones, fight, fight the boss" with not too much variation except for the enemies. Occasionally there'll be some sticks or fire that shoots out of the ground which adds to environmental dangers. Rating: 8/10 CHARACTERS: Again, the characters are quite different in their play styles, and some of their skills are pretty freakin' awesome. Personality-wise, they are different as well. Although some of them are quite broken in PVP.. Rating: 8/10 VISUALS: Not the best looking game around. I believe the visuals will improve over time with updates? I could be wrong. The game looks an awful lot like an avant-garde sort of anime. Rating: 7.5/10 Verdict: Elsword is a fun to play F2P game. While NOT the best game ever in its genre, if you have some time to kill off, this could be fun. Just don't expect anything spectacular. Final Rating: 6.9 Pharus out of 10.

Actually, I think DLC's are a rather unpopular concept amongst gamers. I guess there is pretty good DLC out there, of course. As long as you don't praise Simcity mobile for it's amazing microtransactions, I think I'll be fine.

Masked, if you're going to review a F2P game, I'd highly recommend looking at the pay-to-win system. ESPECIALLY if it's an MMO.

Well, I've decided to push back the BlazBlue review. Rather, I'll be covering.. The newest advancement in cult video games, Undertale is the product of Toby Fox who is known for composing Homestuck's music. Ew. STORY: It's nothing extremely elaborate, but it really does encourage playing "both ways" to fully understand everything. What do I mean by both ways? Well, there are three main routes that you can take to affect your ending. One is the "Pacifist" route, the "Genocide" route, and the Neutral route. Lore is easy to understand, it's VERY well-written, but the humor can either make your eyes roll at how obnoxious it can be or make you laugh at its charm. I personally found myself between the two, leaning on the latter more though. It's a game that can really mess with you once you get far enough into it. Looking back at this game after having beaten it, it feels kind of short. There are only 5 main areas. An easy to understand lore has its cons, though. The story isn't really all that strong; most people associate the story with the game's cast, but cast should have NOTHING to do with a story. Genocide Route is really just "eggh im edgy kill everyone fight last man kill monsters!!!", so I don't recommend doing it unless you want a really kickass final boss. Rating: 8.5/10 GAMEPLAY: As it's been said, the Genocide route is where you kill everything like in a normal RPG. The only abnormal addition to this is the fact that you have to dodge enemy attacks in the form of "bullet hell". Basically, it's a shoot-em-up minus the shooting and replacing that with just dodging. The overworld gameplay isn't anything special; just your normal 2D sprite walking around. If you plan to go on a "Pacifist" route, you have to avoid killing ANYONE. Instead, you have to Act a certain way such as talking, cheering, or flirting with your enemies. It sounds really cool until you really don't know what to do with a specific enemy. For example, sometimes you have to repeatedly Flirt, Talk, Cheer, etc. with someone BEFORE Sparing them. There's no indication at all in knowing how to do this, so you may be driven to look up how to get past. Way too obtuse to be perfect. Rating: 8.5/10 CHARACTERS: Oh boy, where to start. I need to start this off by saying that Mr. Toby Fox knew what would make a cult game's fandom, and boy did he get it right. The game's cast are diverse, full of.. well, character, AND they've all got their own mini-fandoms. Yes, they have those. Frisk is basically the true spokesperson (?) for the SJW fans of this game, and boy do they LOVE it (who care)! Only nitpick of mine is that a number of them are too "quirky" as in they're "funny funny spaghetti lol!!!!" which coincides with my thing as said above. Rating: 9/10 MUSIC: AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING. Rating: 10/10 VISUALS: I don't know what it is with Indie developers, but they really like going with the "retro 8-bit nostalgia" feeling. Sure, some may see this as a decently artistic style, but I see it more as "hey i'm not going to put too much effort into this because indie and hipsters". I mean this for indie games as a whole, not just Undertale. However, the game's graphics do get better in certain instances, and who even cares? It's 8-bit, dude. Rating: 8/10 FANDOM?: JEsus. Tumblr loves it. Roblox loves it. Youtubers love it. It's getting to be comparable to that of FNaF (remember that game jajaja), but unlike that game, this game actually deserves its higher end praise. If you're one of those people that go "its popular that means it sucks!!" or "its popular i wont get into it", this fandom will probably irritate you. Chances are, it already has. Also, a number of the fandom is kind of stupid if you ask me. Too many parts of it to be stated in this small section. My personal experience has been good for the most part, but a considerable amount of the fandom can be toxic as hell. Undertale RPers won't acknowledge your existence unless you are or say something relating to Undertale, EVEN IF IT'S A CROSSOVER RP. Rating: 7.5/10 FINAL VERDICT: Undertale is an amazing sort of avant-garde game that, undoubtedly, deserves its praise. Sure it has a few considerable flaws; I still had plenty of fun with this, and it's only $9.99 on Steam. I recommend it if you haven't played it! FINAL RATING: With the fandom into account: 8.6 Lesser Dogs out of 10 Greater Dogs. Without the fandom into account if you don't mind it: 8.8 Popato Chisps out of 10 Vending Machines

Oh, thanks.
Anyways, I just read all of your reviews and they're better than IGN's so could you perhaps do a review of Sakura Fantasy maybe an RTS game? Of course if they aren't your slice of cake maybe a cheap singleplayer game that's fun, a good story, great replay-ability, and not Undertale. Thanks!

Of course if they aren't your slice of cake maybe a cheap singleplayer game that's fun, a good story, great replay-ability, and not Undertale. Thanks! Thank you! I honestly find IGN to be more professional-y, but I also disagree with their ratings on some games. A cheap single-player game with good story and replayability that I can think of is Fallout 3 or New Vegas; I'll assume you want something other than those two, though. I'll do some digging.
